The 2021 Lexus NX: A High-Tech Luxury SUV

Lexus is boasting that this is the most advanced NX ever – and they’re right. Touting compatibility with your Android device via the Android Auto system or your iOS device via Apple CarPlay, and with the capability to work alongside your Amazon Alexa, this SUV is smart and connected. Lexus also offers an app that allows for remote locking and unlocking, remote engine start as well as remote monitoring of the new NX.
On top of this, the Lexus NX model for 2021 offers a very safe drive due to a suite of high-tech driver assists including intelligent high beams that dim automatically when it senses an oncoming driver, dynamic cruise control that makes use of radar technology to keep you at a safe distance from cars around you, pedestrian detection and emergency braking, and a particularly nifty road sign assist feature that uses cameras to display information on the up-front touchscreen.

Pricing

Lexus offers a good variety of pricing and trim level options for the NX this year: starting from the base level (the NX300), at $38,635, you can move up to the NX300 F Sport at around $40,000, and at close to the same price point you can pick up the basic hybrid model – the NX300h – for $41,185. From there it’s a bit of a jump to the two top-of-the-line luxury models, the NX300 Luxury and the NX300h Luxury ($45,000 and $47,000).
Despite the pretty generous range of price points included in this lineup, all of these models offer a great experience behind the wheel, both in terms of the ride and in terms of creature comforts, cabin space, and performance. The premium Luxury models offer a fantastic interior, complete with leather upholstery and heated and ventilated front seats as standard.

The Ride

Here is where the 2021 Lexus NX stands out from its class – it is not afraid to let you know you’re driving an SUV. While competitors in this class can feel like just slightly larger hatchbacks, the NX definitely knows what it is. It’s big, you sit high up in the seat giving you a great view of the road, and it does lean a little when cornering or braking hard, but that’s what we want from our SUVs.

Overall, this is a great SUV for families looking for a comfortable and safe drive that offers a good high-tech experience with a lot of neat gadgets. The sporty and modern exterior design is definitely a plus side, too. If you’re looking to book yourself a test drive and take one of these for a spin, or you want to discuss financing options, call Fox Lexus of El Paso today!
