  1. Landry’s Seafood Restaurant

If you want seafood after visiting the Cielo Vista Mall, head for Landry’s Seafood Restaurant at 6801 Gateway Blvd. West. The staff looks forward to serving you lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. While you’re there, you can enjoy appetizers, such as the fried calamari, or Landry’s gumbo with your choice of shrimp, or shrimp and crab. The main dishes include salmon fillet or mahi-mahi. The house specialties you can enjoy include fried shrimp and southern fried fish.

If you are in the mood for crab, ask about the crab of the day option; you can also try a po’ boy with shrimp or fish.  If you’re with someone who doesn’t want or can’t have seafood, the restaurant also has grilled chicken or ribeye steaks on the menu. There’s a fettuccine dish you can add shrimp or chicken to, which has mushrooms, peas, and tomatoes, along with Alfredo sauce – it’s delicious!

Another tasty option for seafood is The Crab Station at 6450 Desert Blvd. You can start with an appetizer of scampi crab claws or crusted crab cakes. If you’re looking for some spice, try the Mexican shrimp cocktail. Enjoy oysters? They have several options available as either a half dozen or a dozen; you can get them on the half shell, ceviche style, charbroiled, Rockefeller with bacon, Cajun garlic parmesan, or firecracker fried.

If you are in the mood for boiled seafood, try the crawfish, king crab, shrimp, blue crab, or lobster at market price. You get to choose your sauce from the mild garlic butter to the very spicy flame thrower sauce! You can add corn, sausage, or potatoes to round out your boil.

  1. Cattle Baron Steak and Seafood Restaurant

If you are in the mood for an elevated surf-and-turf dinner, head to the Cattle Baron Steak and Seafood Restaurant at 1700 Airway Blvd. They’re open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week. The appetizers here include bacon-wrapped shrimp stuffed with jalapeno cream sauce and deep-fried. If you’re looking for a good steak, they offer nine different preparations, including prime rib and steak New Mexico. The steak New Mexico is a 10-ounce New York strip steak covered in green chilies and melted cheese.

For seafood, you have the option of fresh catfish served with lemon and tartar sauce; you can also get it blackened. They’ve also got jumbo fried shrimp and shrimp scampi. One of the unique seafood offerings is the orange bourbon salmon. It’s a charbroiled king salmon fillet basted in an orange bourbon sauce. You have a choice of sides to round out the meal.
